Land of entrepreneurship

10/12/2018

A few days ago I read TOT Sant Cugat that our city is one of the towns with the most entrepreneurial activity. Proof of this is its number of self-employed who continue to grow. While in most of the country's populations, businesses are closing down and the self-employed diminish, in Sant Cugat the number of self-employed has grown by 2.35% over the year previous According to the UATAE, Union of Associations of Freelance Workers, Sant Cugat del Vallès is the Catalan city of more than 40 thousand inhabitants that has registered a more considerable increase.

It is true that we are constantly seeing how to open and close new premises, how many businesses are exchanged, how to change hands, expand partners ... in short, they transform to endure this harsh shock that we have experienced, the global economic crisis.

What is becoming increasingly evident is that many businesses close their doors and never again open them up, because they will do so on the Internet. E-commerce has been presented as a great opportunity for traditional traders, as they see this new business path as an opportunity to reduce stocks, reach more, save people, segment their target audience, present more products ...

Online stores, or e-commerce, are becoming one of the best alternatives for businesses to face the crisis. Only in Spain and during 2013, turnover of e-commerce reached 2,822.6 million euros.

Surely, in the coming year, the figure is increasing because there is more supply and demand in the network every day.
