We present two papers at the 6th International Communication Research Congress at the Institute of Catalan Studies
For the first time the communication agency has attended an academic Congress to present two investigations that were carried out during the first months of 2023. Specifically, the Sant Cugat agency has presented the communication entitled "Les assessories de Catalunya i l use of LinkedIn to contact their target audiences" and "Communication tools for field hockey clubs in Catalonia".
In the first communication it was explained that, following a quantitative methodology, a hundred management companies, consultancies and advisories in Catalonia were analyzed and after some interviews, already following qualitative methodologies, it was evident that currently LinkedIn is not the network most used but the one with the most potential to reach the public objectives of the es gestories.
On the other hand, in the second communication presented by edeon, the study was explained to 17 Catalan field hockey clubs and it was shown that Facebook and Instagram are the most used networks and the ones currently they have even more potential to stimulate interactions between players, their families, clubs and sponsors.
edeon is currently the sponsor manager of Club Hoquei Valldoreix and has taken advantage of the presentation to explain how a club with few resources can communicate and generate enough media coverage from the media, social networks, internet search engines... like other clubs or entities that have more resources to invest in communication.
A total of 34 communications by 67 authors from 26 universities and research centers were presented at the Congress . At the presentation of the communications, the director of the Sant Cugat agency, Dr. Lluís Feliu explained that "these are possibly the two least academic communications that have been presented at the Congress, but they help us understand that the university and the company have a lot in common and it is necessary to strengthen ties of collaboration so that enrich each other. These two cases that we have prepared from edeon initially come from two market studies carried out at the agency, studies that were initially driven for business reasons but which, as was seen in Congress, make sense outside the company because it shows us a real picture of two different sectors, such as those of management and sports clubs, a sector that must believe in communication if they want to communicate with their audiences in the most effective way possible".
The VI International Congress of Research in Communication took place this past Friday, July 14 at the Institute of Catalan Studies, in Barcelona. It started with a round table in tribute to Sergi Schaaff with producer Joan Bas, filmmaker Lluís Maria Güell, presenter Jordi Hurtado and journalist Elisenda Roca. Then the presentations of the 34 papers began and finally, the closing of the Congress was done by the journalist Mònica Tarribas.
